creatively made home {for the holidays} GIVEAWAY!

I am SO happy to be part of a fun & creative GIVEAWAY today for the Creatively Made Home {Home for the Holidays} edition!

What exactly is the CMH {Home for the Holidays} series?

I think Jeanne Oliver, the creator, said it best...” My hope is that this course will help you slow down and find the joy and beauty in the holidays.”

It is not about the hustle & bustle of running around, finding gifts. It is about enjoying the season, your family and your home. It is taking a deep breath and a step back to create and enjoy the spirit of the season.

My sweet friend Anne Marie, from the NaDa Farm blog, hosts the Spring & Fall Barn Sale I participate in, and she is showcasing her creative talents for the Creatively Made Home Series.

Jeanne Oliver is the creative genius behind the Creatively Made Home series.

I am sure most of you know of her, she is the woman behind an ever growing creative network…she is also a terrific clothing & bag designer with an eye for detail and a heart for comfort.

In addition to Anne Marie, she has assembled an amazing group of women to participate in this season's event.

To sum it up: In Jeanne's own words. here is what the e-course is all about:

You will be encouraged as you hear honestly from each woman about the times things did not go as planned during their holidays.

You will hear honest discussions about their own journey of hospitality.
You will walk away inspired as you hear about the traditions and special moments from their childhood and how they create special moments with their families today.

You will be able to watch beautiful videos with gift giving ideas, decorating projects and favorite family recipes.

We all want to create authentic moments with our friends and families.
We all desire for the ones we love to leave our homes knowing that they were welcomed and loved.

My hope is that this course will help you slow down and find the joy and beauty in the holidays.

 *****
*There will be 30+ project videos

These will be incredible videos that include everything from cooking, gift giving and decorating

*Tons of beautiful house photos from each of the nine women
*Supply Lists and PDFs for each project
*A digital recipe book of the recipes shared in this course

  1. We have 12 grandchildren w one on the way!! Ages 2 months to almost 15! When we have Christmas here we go all out. One year we hung the tree upside down from the ceiling and I decorated w "Dr. Suess" like theme. You should have seen the little ones jaws drop! It took Papaw a LOT of work to pull it off!
We may have Christmas here this year so we have a lot of work to do.
Right now our 5 year old is having a 'Super Hero' b-day in Sept. I am making capes for all the Grands , made to order. Owls, Rainbows, Basketballs.... It should be a fun day!

  5. I love to make gifts with my children and holiday baking!

  6. Hi, my name is Leila and what I love to do at Christmas is making my own Christmas cards. I love to decorate at Christmas but I can make up my mind to which style I like so I decorate my living room with a Shabby Chic look, my family room with vintage collectables, my kitchen with a Christmas tree with candies and home made treats and fruit garlands. I love to treat those who stop by with a little bit of Christmas a bag with treats....I believe that during this season is a prime time opportunity to spread love and faith in giving with hope to soften the hearts who come near us. Love your blog!

  7. I love enjoying the season with friends. We go Shopping and on house tours for inspiration. My husband and I always make chex mix and candy together. And I absolutely love the scent of fresh cut pine. I have a little kitty that loves it too so i burn candles instead. I have searched out and found the most realistic pine scents. I do all the decorating but last year my husband help with the tree and it was really fun. This year I hope to get my friends together and do a little holiday crafting party. I love Christmas but as time goes on I sometimes feel it's a lot of work and the season is so short. It's hard to get it all in. Hoping to win so that I find new ways of enjoying the season even more!

  8. It's officially Christmas time when I make batches of old-fashioned cinnamon hard candy. The scent of cinnamon with Christmas carols playing is so festive. Every year, we try something new, all the while, keeping the traditional favorites. So, to answer your question, I would have to say baking, decorating, music and preparing my heart is what I love to do for the holidays. This course you are offering as a gift looks so cool.
    Blessings,
    Beth

  9. I am looking for some new vibe in my Christmas decor. Last year, while hanging lights outside, the ladder slipped and I fell 20 feet. Thankfully all I fractured was my pelvis, not my head, or worst! But it still put me out of commission, in the home decorating department, for the rest of the season. My BFF came over and did "Christmas decor lite" for me. As I sat and watched her, I realized I was tired of the same old stuff. This year, I will hire someone to put up the outside lights and I'm determined to create something new inside.

  10. Oh my...what I love the most about the holiday season décor? I guess my favorite is decking my halls (my home) and trying to do something different every year. I put up 3-4 trees...one is our family tree and the others are theme trees. Decorating my mantel is top on my list too. This year I am looking forward to making stockings, pillows, picture frames etc. to sell in my shop space. Thank you for a chance to win this wonderful e-course.

    Blessings,
    Linda

  11. My two very favorite things to do at Christmas time is to decorate every square inch of my home and bake about a dozen different cookies over the span of two full days with my family.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I love to do it all for Christmas....bake, shop, wrap gifts, decorate the house inside and out. It's so much fun and brings back so many fond memories of my parents and grandparents and the fun we had celebrating Christmas when I was a child. Thanks for the opportunity to win the free class.

  13. One of my most favorite things to do is decorate. Our family tradition is to decorate for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving. My daughters and I decorate inside while my husband and son put up lights outside. We all meet for a late lunch/early dinner around the table and have Thanksgiving leftovers. :)

  14. Thanks for the chance at this great giveaway. I would really like this class to keep me motivated in the fall as my motivation leaves me more than the summer months. The couch calls my name more often. This fall I am going into without both my parents and am reluctant for the holidays this years. Losing them both the same year is really hard. I do like to decorate my porch often. Thanks again.

  15. the keyword during the holidays for me is CREATING. creating sights, sounds, smells and delights that fill others with childhood wonder. i bake special buttercream frosted cookies. light cinnamon scented candles. play christmas music. the decor is very simple as each year i string up handmade banners, twinkly white lights, and plaster a hallway wall simply with old photos of us and our friends.

  16. I love making new ornaments for the tree with my girls every year. It's fun to have something that was created by us to look back on every year!

    ReplyDelete
  17. We bake both cookies and cinnamon rolls, and my tween girls have taken to cross stitching ornament for gift giving!

    ReplyDelete
  18. What a great idea!! Now you've got me into the holiday spirit!! My favorite thing about the holidays is family. We spend our holidays focusing on our blessings as a family. Don't get me wrong, we love decorating (very simply), baking and gift giving...those times and activities just add to the list of blessings we celebrate.

    ReplyDelete
  19. We love to bake for neighbors and friends during the holiday season. I used to to only give handmade gifts at the holidays as well, however, somehow over the years have gotten away from it. This year I have dedicated myself to giving handmade items again and this course would be the perfect inspiriation to keep me on track with that goal!

    ReplyDelete
  20. I LOVE the beginning of fall! A recent tradition I started is making a pumpkin pie with a fresh pumpkin. It reminds me of my grandmother and makes me feel connected to her.
Usually when it starts getting cool I get motivated to work on q quilt, and this year I'm thinking about hand quilting!

  21. I love to create beautiful memories and magical childhood moments; daily creative advent gifts, Elf on the Shelf antics, paying it forward/acts of kindness for our community, proof of Santa's existence, finding the perfect gift (not necessarily expensive, just meaningful).
I have had a few meltdowns along the way and now shy away from hosting the event but I still like to create those beautiful memories!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I love crafting during the holidays. Whether it's make my boys Halloween costumes, making decorations for our Thanksgiving table or making gifts for family or friends at Christmas! I love putting a homade touch on everything.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I love decorating our home with collected and crafting new ornaments for each holiday. I try to come oup with my own designs or put my own personal twist on designs that are shared online. The beauty of vignettes help me to better deal with the parts of my surroundigs which are not so beautiful and which I cannot change.

    ReplyDelete
  24. My favorite way to decorate for the holidays is to bring the outdoors in. The smell of fresh pine... bright red holly berries with waxy green leaves... scented pine cones...logs on the fire...can't wait! This summer while trimming trees we uncovered the sweetest little charlie brown Christmas tree growing in our yard - it will be coming indoors this Christmas to grace a special corner in our home. Thanks for the opportunity to join what promises to be a great class!

  25. I love to decorate our home for Christmas, especially the tree and the banister. I also love watching all of the old Christmas movies and cartoons.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I love all of it! I love, love, love decorating the house I love all of our precious traditions of decorating the tree together, watching Christmas movies, and baking Christmas treats for those who are dear to us. (Now I'm getting excited for Christmas!)

    ReplyDelete
  27. Christmas music! Decorating the house with the things we have collected over the years and adding a few new things, too! Our college age son will be home and that is great fun. A fresh boxwood wreath on the front door. Homemade goodies for friends and neighbors! I would love to be chosen.

    ReplyDelete
  28. One of my favorite nights is when we decorate our main tree. All three kids are home. We have fun finger foods and play Christmas music. I also love to decorate the smaller trees we have scattered around the house. And lights. Lots of white twinkle lights!

  29. My weakness is the food. I justify it by telling myself the seasons only come once a year :)

    ReplyDelete
  30. I love baking and making homemade gifts for my family & friends! Thanks for the chance to win!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I love making new christmas art ( either, sewn, stitches, glued, or glittered!) Each year.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I love Christmas-time. I enjoy creatively wrapping handmade gifts; whether it's sewn, collaged or something pieced together. This year will be incredibly special as my husband & I are moving out of the Bay Area chaos (where we both grew up) to the foothills to slow down our lives a bit. I just got laid off, so this provided us the kick we needed to make the move. We look forward to celebrating with our friends & family in our new home. I look forward to decorating with re-purposed items to create a cozy space. Crafting of some sort will definitely be happening.

    ReplyDelete
  33. What I love to create most is memories. As my children have grown we have done this through several traditions such as the annual "discussion" about how many and which presents to open on Christmas eve, the Christmas eve church service and lasagna supper, inviting guests who have no where else to go on Christmas day, time with my siblings and parents, teasing my brother about who got the most money in our annual Christmas envelop from our parents, the November weekend shopping with my sister-in-law and our daughters, ALL the decorating, cheeseball gifts for lots of friends, reading children's Christmas books, and so many more new and old traditions that it just wouldn't be Christmas without.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I definitely lack on the outside decorating and would love some fresh ideas. I have started to bake more now that my little one has grown into my helper!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I love to make sparkly pink and green pastel cookies.... holly leaves, santas, ... Love to put lots of time and detail on them so they are soft and scrumptious (to look at and taste) :)

    ReplyDelete
  36. Every Christmas Eve our entire family gets together to make homemade raviolis. My mother makes the filling and dough, and through the years , she has taught all the men to roll it out and fill the raviolis. We make them Bloody Mary's and they roll and fill, roll and fill. It is so fun to see my son who is now 11 along with his older cousin and all the brother in laws continuing a family tradition that I remember from my childhood. The raviolis are chilled overnight in the garage and the next day we have a huge Italian feast!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Ornaments, ornaments and ornaments. Our trees become scrapbooks of sorts with ornaments made from pictures or kids art or a store bought one to mark an occasion. Unwrapping and hanging them each year is a gift - a gift to pause and remember the making, the event and / or person who gave us the ornament. Just thinking about it now makes me want to go dig through the bins. ;) The ecourse looks amazing; thanks for the chance to win a seat in class!

    ReplyDelete
  38. We purchase our 'new to us' home about a month ago, so I'm excited to start over in the Christmas decorating department! This course would help....a lot!!

    ReplyDelete
  39. "A Cousin Christmas" became a tradition several years ago. Kids and mamas dress up in Christmas Pajamas, decorate cookies, make a gingerbread house together, use the plastic Nativity set and act out the true meaning of Christmas with the characters, and then watch the movie Elf. The house smells like Christmas with warm scented glowing candles and cookies and gingerbread, and flashes of light capture treasured memories all evening. Usually the littlest one snuggles up and falls asleep just as it's time to bundle up and head home. But no need for shoes with the toesie pajamas!

    ReplyDelete
  40. My sister and I get our kids together for cheesy Santa pictures at the mall (there have been some PRICELESS ones over the years) and then head to her house for a marathon cookie baking day. Pizza, hot chocolate, sleeping bags and xmas movies end the perfect day!

    ReplyDelete
  41. The Christmas tree... the only thing I usually get time to do anymore. It usually goes up pretty close to Christmas and stays up through New Years so that I can enjoy it. Being a shop owner, Christmas at home, sadly takes back seat. Good thing I don't have kids at home anymore! I do love the holidays and would love to take this course to inspire me @ home & the shop!

  42. My sweetie-pie girls and I love to make HUGE batches of cinnamon buns that we share with the neighbors and church families...after my son and hubby devour their part :) -thanks so much for the giveaway-oh how I would LOVE to win-{squeal}

  43. I love everything about Christmas - decorating our home and especially each of our girl's bedrooms, the Advent calendar and the fun that brings each day, baking cookies, reading Christmas stories, hanging the stockings and the list goes on. I'd love to win a spot in the class, because I'm sure I'll be on inspiration overload. LOVE! thanks.

  44. My kids are grown (for the most part) and seeing them collaborate with each other to figure out a gift for their siblings shows how well they know each other and care. That means way more than amount spent.

    ReplyDelete
  45. creating magic for my kids is my favorite part!

    ReplyDelete
  46. I sew up a storm of Christmas gifts for my family and friends - things like place mats, table runners, and pillows. Also gotta decorate the house and bake and frost our sour cream sugar cookies! So much fun.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Holidays! My favorite is trimming the tree and working our way through our activity Advent with my three kiddos! Oh...and of course, all the BAKING!!

    ReplyDelete
  48. The smell of our home during the holidays is my favorite thing...wassail on the stove, cookies in the oven, fresh pine and oranges.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I've decided that while my kiddos are young I am going to let them create the majority of the decorations for holidays. They are so proud of their work! My house may not look like a model for Better Homes and Gardens, but we love it! Someday I will have a color scheme and theme to my decorations but I will probably find that dull compared to what we have now!

  50. The holidays have always been so special to me ( my birthdays 2 days after Christmas after all)
I have carried on traditions and memories and magic from my childhood, and shared them with my daughter's, ( 21 &17) we love to decorate, bake, listen to Christmas music and create unique one of a kind gifts for friends and family. We try to celebrate all traditions of the season, starting with the solcitice.
My family has really struggled this past year, I was diagnosed with cancer in October, and went thru radiation, during the holidays last year, I was so sick, but my amazing daughter's took over and we were able to create beautiful gifts for our family. I had a major surgery in March, and in June we lost our home of 11 years in a short sale (at least it didn't foreclose, bad mortgage) It's been hard, but I'm where I need to be, getting healthy and looking forward to spending the holidays in a beautiful new house in the beautiful woods in Nevada city ca, I have my health, I have my family and many more memories and traditions to make & celebrate! Blessings of the harvest to you and yours ~

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  54. We love making "fun gun cookies", they are cookies made with an electric cookie press. I love making gift baskets for family and friends. I'm ready to get started, but it is still 100+ degrees outside right now!

    ReplyDelete
  55. We love decking the house, the yard and baking for cookie exchanges. Love creating the memories!!

    ReplyDelete
  56. I love to Deck the Halls (Ha...that is my maiden name:)! For as long as I can remember setting the stage for the holiday season has always started with turning our home into a comfortable and cozy festive place to spend time with friends & family! This year is our first year in our new home & I absolutely can not wait to decorate for the season just like my Mom did throughout our childhood.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I love to decorate! The holiday's get me so inspired to get creative. I have already started looking for wrapping ideas for my Christmas presents. It makes me happy to have handmade decorations and presents around my house.

    ReplyDelete
  58. This is our first year in a single family home as a family. I can't wait to start traditions with my littles. My 4 year old is excited to make cookies for Santa. My boys are too little to help, but their little hand prints will surly be on lots of things for grandmas and grandpas.

    ReplyDelete
  59. What I love best about the holidays are the traditional black friday shopping with my daughters, the joy of Christmas breakfast with my children and grand baby and the Christmas eve and Christmas Day meal and the family time together!

    ReplyDelete
  60. I love spending more intentional time with family as we pull out the customary decorations each year. I like to put a different spin on them each year, rather than buying so many new items. We bake sugar cookies and act goofy, while trying to teach them the true spirit of the season by example. We just moved into a farmhouse last month and I'm already planning it all out for the holidays and can hardly contain myself! It's hard to pick just one face, but definitely decorating our home

    ReplyDelete
  61. We decorate the tree as a family. My husband puts up the tree, I do the lights, and the 7 kids do all of the ornaments.....very chaotic, but lots of fun!

    ReplyDelete
  62. In order to eat Thanksgiving dinner in my home, my siblings and mom must present their "Kieres Kontest" creation. For the past 22 years, each Sept/Oct they receive in the mail some type of craft related to that years theme. Last years theme was gratitude. Disposable cameras, scrapbook pages, along with all the fixin's and contest rules, of course, were sent with a letter detailing the project. Now we have pages for our scrapbook to look back upon as every family member participated. Garden stepping stones made in October, I am told, was rather difficult due to the weather that year....but now we have stones guiding our path to our door. Even my college aged nieces and nephews participate and call asking where is the Kontest! They are fiercely competitive, vying for the prizes awarded each year. And EACH year there are tears in my eyes because they ALL participate, even though life is crazy and time doesn't always allow for simple fun. It truly is the best thing I have ever created...

    ReplyDelete
  63. Christmas...what's not to like? I love decorating our home and yard. This year we have a newly remodeled kitchen that opens up a whole new area to create new traditions and decorating. Best part of the season though is Christmas Eve when we sit in 'our' pew, sometimes with family and sometimes just my husband and I depending on the next day's plan, at 11:00 and await the coming of the Christ Child. Little church, big sprit filled service.

    ReplyDelete
  64. We have many special family holiday traditions at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Our time together usually centers around food, and we have special meals and snacks, all made from scratch.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I have two sisters, and between us we have ten girls. The oldest is nearly twenty-one and the youngest will be born tomorrow. One of my favorite parts of the holidays is getting all the girls together for the annual Christmas card photo. It is such a blessing to have them all together and there is never a shortage of love and laughter.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I love to create a home of peace and love of God, family and friends. I love to honor old traditions (making family recipes) and starting new ones (this year I want to create a wreath for the front door).Thank goodness for inspiring, creative bloggers!

    ReplyDelete
  67. I LOVE the decorations(driving around to see the lights, is my favorite thing for Christmas)! I search all year to give others decor for Christmas...I find something that they like and add to it. Maybe a wreath with apples on it, an angel with a blue dress, or a hand towel with shells. Pinterest and blogs are my friends! I have found so many ideas to make crafts, with others in mind! There are TONS of creative people making things, it is easy to find tutorials to satisfy even the once-mentioned like for friends and family :)

    ReplyDelete
  68. I love to spend time with my family and friends and decorate the house both inside and out. The smell of fresh greenery is wonderful. One of the best parts of the season is baking goodies with my two girls and delivering them to our friends and neighbors.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I want to make memories with my new granddaughter and two daughters. Love new ideas! The holidays just seem to fly by, I want to share some old & new traditions! ♥

    ReplyDelete
  70. I love decorating cookies but the last few years I have cheated! Our baking makes a kit: a dozen sugar cookies cut out, tubs of frosting, and sprinkles. I let the kids go at it and by about the second cookue in they are done and I get to enjoy decorating a few of my own :D

    ReplyDelete
  71. I get a lot of joy by making and surprising neighbors and friends with homemade cookies and goodies. I try to find a new and creative way to package the treats and leave them at their doors. This year I have found great Christmas plates at Goodwill to use. I also like to get together with my children to do crafts after Thanksgiving which usually involves a tea party, very special memories!

    ReplyDelete
  72. I love everything about the holidays! Decorating is probably my favorite though - we grew up having a tree in every room in our house, and that's how I decorate our house now as well. My husband doesn't quite know what to do with me, but I just think it's so festive for that month (or two by the time I finally take it down in January). Thanks for the chance to win!!

    ReplyDelete
  73. I wrap my presents with white paper and flowers I make out of fabric, old lace, I glitter all my ornaments, make a new ornament every year for the tree and friends. I make wreaths for my homebound friends. Cookies. all kinds of things

  89. i am miss MONICA from U K, I promise to share this testimony all over the world once my boyfriend return back to me, and today with all due respect i want to thank DR.UKO for bringing joy and happiness to my relationship and my family. I want to inform you all that there is a spell caster that is real and genuine. I never believed in any of these things until i loosed my boyfriend, I required help until i found ukospelltemple@yahoo.com a grate spell caster, And he cast a love spell for me, and he assured me that I will get my boyfriend back in two days after the spell has been cast. two days later, my phone rang, and so shockingly, it was my boyfriend who has not called me for past 10 years now, and made an apology for the heart break, and told me that he is ready to be my back bone till the rest of his life with me. DR.UKO released him up to know how much i loved and wanted him. And opened his eyes to picture how much we have share together. As I'm writing this testimony right now I'm the most happiest girl on earth and me and my boyfriend is living a happy life and our love is now stronger than how it were even before our break up. So that's why I promised to share my testimony all over the universe. All thanks goes to DR.UKO for the excessive work that he has done for me. Below is the email address in situation you are undergoing a heart break, and I assure you that as she has done mine for me, she will definitely help you too. ukospelltemple@yahoo.com
